Linton is located approximately 35kms west of Ballarat, Victoria. Linton, an historical golden mining town, is situated along the Ballarat Skipton Rail Trail, with an approximate population of 580 residents according to the 2016 Australian Bureau of Statistics.
The local community is proud of our town and what it has to offer in outdoor experiences such as walking the trail and bush tracks, bike and horse riding, and popular recreational activities.
Our community is vibrant with many local groups that you can join. These include the Linton and District Progress Association, and the Linton and District Historical Society.
The Linton CFA, and Linton Cemetery Trust welcomes volunteers to join them.
You can participate and join our local sporting groups; the Football and Netball clubs, Bowls Club, Cricket Club and Gardening Club.
